Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls sits at the center of a relentless damage-and-drain strategy that forces opponents to lose life constantly through passive enchantments, triggered punishments for drawing cards, casting spells, tapping lands, and even having creatures enter the battlefield. Every drip of life loss feeds Valgavoth with +1/+1 counters and card draw, snowballing the commander into a massive threat while the deck simultaneously denies opponents any life gain. The primary win condition is the Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank combo, which converts any life loss into infinite mill and infinite life loss, but the deck can also close games through sheer attrition as doubling effects like Wound Reflection and Archfiend of Despair punish opponents for surviving each turn cycle.
