The deck revolves around repeatedly discarding creature cards to trigger Hashaton, Scarab's Fist's ability, paying the blue mana tax to generate tapped 4/4 black Zombie tokens that are copies of the discarded creatures. The strategy layers discard outlets with high-value creatures whose enters-the-battlefield abilities, static effects, or death triggers can be exploited through the token copies, while the blue-white-black color identity provides access to reanimation effects that can also return discarded creatures from the graveyard directly into play. The deck wins by flooding the board with powerful Zombie tokens while leveraging the graveyard as a resource, using the discard loop to repeatedly convert hand cards into threats.
