Toxic horseman
Sun Quan, Lord of Wu Commander Deck
Mono-blue poison deck that uses Sun Quan's team-wide horsemanship to make every attacker effectively unblockable. Small infect and toxic creatures, plus artifact creatures backed by Virulent Silencer, push poison counters through combat. A dense proliferate suite of spells, artifacts, lands and repeatable triggers then multiplies those counters, so a few connected hits snowball into ten poison on several opponents at once. How it wins: Evasive infect and toxic attacks land the first poison counters, then repeated proliferation (often doubled by Tekuthal) finishes every opponent, with Blade of Selves on Blightsteel Colossus, Super State with Grafted Exoskeleton, or a big Expansion Algorithm after Prologue to Phyresis as burst finishes. Key roles: - Poison delivery: Cheap infect bodies, toxic creatures and infect-granting equipment get poison on the board, and Sun Quan's horsemanship means blockers rarely stop them. The artifact creatures double as Virulent Silencer triggers. (Blighted Agent, Virulent Silencer, Grafted Exoskeleton) - Proliferate engine: Cantrip spells, counterspells, bounce, ETB creatures, activated artifacts and lands add another poison counter to every poisoned opponent, turning one connection into a lethal clock. (Inexorable Tide, Flux Channeler, Throne of Geth) - Proliferate multipliers: Tekuthal doubles every proliferate, while X-proliferate and storm proliferate convert a big mana turn into a mass poison kill, helped by High Tide on an all-Island mana base. (Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Expansion Algorithm, Radstorm) - Combat-damage payoffs: Because Sun Quan makes attacks reliable, triggers on dealing combat damage draw cards, proliferate or cast free spells every turn. (Bident of Thassa, Sword of Truth and Justice, Guildpact Informant) - Multiplayer amplifiers: Myriad and Super State's spread damage copy a single poisonous hit across every opponent, which is what turns Blightsteel Colossus or an Exoskeleton-equipped creature into an instant table kill. (Blade of Selves, Super State, Blightsteel Colossus) - Poison-aware interaction: Counterspells and bounce protect the plan and clear the way, several of them getting stronger against poisoned players or proliferating on resolution. (Corrupted Resolve, Bring the Ending, Reject Imperfection)
