Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd
Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd Commander Deck
A mono-white blink deck built around Phelia, which attacks every turn to temporarily exile an opposing blocker or threat, or to flicker one of its own enters-the-battlefield creatures. When the flickered card returns under the deck's control at the next end step, Phelia grows a +1/+1 counter. The deck is packed with value creatures that draw cards, fetch Plains, gain life or remove permanents when they enter. Repeatable and one-shot flicker effects, plus trigger doubling and recursion, re-buy those effects over and over to bury opponents in card and board advantage. How it wins: It grinds out overwhelming card and land advantage with repeated enter-the-battlefield triggers, then attacks with a wide, counter-pumped board and an ever-growing, evasive Phelia while flicker-based removal clears the way. Key roles: - Attack-trigger blink: Phelia's attack trigger either temporarily exiles an opposing blocker or flickers its own value creature to get the trigger again and earn a counter, so equipment that grants haste, protection and evasion keeps it attacking safely each turn (Swiftfoot Boots, Whispersilk Cloak, Rogue's Passage). - Value ETB creatures: cheap creatures that draw cards, ramp Plains when behind on lands, gain life or exile opposing permanents, giving every flicker a payoff (Skyclave Apparition, Knight of the White Orchid, Inspiring Overseer). - Repeatable and instant flicker: end-step engines and instant-speed blinks reset creatures for extra triggers, and the instants double as protection from removal (Teleportation Circle, Ephemerate, Restoration Angel). - Trigger amplification and draw engines: doubling ETB triggers and drawing off small creatures entering turn each blink into extra cards (Panharmonicon, Mentor of the Meek, Welcoming Vampire). - Counters and go-wide payoffs: every creature entering or Plains landing grows the board, and extra counters stack onto Phelia's growth to turn the value pile into a lethal attacking force (Cathars' Crusade, Yoshimaru, Beloved Companion, Koth of the Homestead). - Recursion and flexible removal: reanimating spent or dead value pieces keeps the engine running, while exile and wrath effects handle opposing threats (Sun Titan, Karmic Guide, Farewell).
