Avatar Aang serves as the deck's engine, leveraging the four bending disciplines — air, water, earth, and fire — to generate card advantage, build board presence, and set up its endgame. The deck wins primarily by repeatedly triggering all four bending types to flip Aang as many times as possible, accumulating value through enter-the-battlefield and leave-the-battlefield effects, token generation, and a growing board state, with bending lesson spells tutoring key pieces and cost-reduction effects keeping the engine running. When the time is right, the deck can close the game through an infinite loop where Sage of the Beyond causes a paired Appa to return to hand whenever it enters the battlefield, and a second copy or variant of Appa on the battlefield triggers that paired Appa to be cast again for free, creating a self-sustaining cycle that floods the board with creature tokens.
