Zurgo Stormrender leads a token swarm strategy that leverages his dual triggered abilities — drawing cards when attacking tokens leave the battlefield and draining opponents when non-attacking tokens die — to generate sustained card advantage and chip away at life totals simultaneously. The deck floods the board with tokens through attack triggers, sacrifice outlets, and token-doubling effects, then recycles that token production into resources via Skullclamp and similar engines. Divine Visitation transforms the stream of disposable tokens into powerful Angels, while global pumps and haste enablers push the army to lethal damage through combat.
