Teval, the Balanced Scale fuels a self-mill engine by attacking each turn, filling the graveyard with lands and creatures while generating Zombie tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard — a trigger amplified further by Teval's Judgment and Syr Konrad, the Grim draining opponents for each graveyard departure. The deck recycles its graveyard aggressively through dredge effects, landfall recursion, and permanent replay engines, using The Gitrog Monster as the combo centerpiece: pairing it with a dredge land and a discard outlet generates near-infinite mill and black mana, which can then convert into a lethal life-drain finish. A Zombie token swarm, sacrifice-based lifedrain, and graveyard-to-battlefield reanimation serve as backup pressure when the primary combo isn't assembled.
