Rendmaw, Creaking Nest is the centerpiece of an artifact-heavy storm strategy that leverages the enormous number of zero- and low-cost artifacts, cost reducers, and affinity creatures to flood the board while repeatedly triggering Rendmaw's ability by playing multitype permanents, generating a growing army of goaded Birds that pressure opponents while leaving you free to attack. The deck uses free sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar and Ashnod's Altar alongside recursive artifact loops and mana-generating creatures to chain plays and maintain momentum, while Throne of the God-Pharaoh converts the mass of tapped creatures — both your own and the goaded Birds attacking opponents — into direct life loss. Ultron the Annihilator provides a secondary drain engine that punishes artifact churn, and the deck can also threaten a wide battlefield through sheer artifact creature volume backed by equipment that scales with artifact count.
