Chatterfang, Squirrel General
Chatterfang, Squirrel General Commander Deck
Chatterfang turns every token event into double the bodies by adding an equal number of Squirrels. The deck stacks token makers, Food and Treasure producers, and token copiers to flood the board. That swarm becomes fodder for a sacrifice engine, where drain-on-death payoffs, card draw and mana turn every lost Squirrel into value. Chatterfang's own sacrifice ability converts excess Squirrels into removal by shrinking a target creature's toughness. How it wins: Mass sacrifice through Chatterfang and free sac outlets triggers stacked death and token-leave drains to bleed the whole table out, with wide Squirrel attacks pumped by anthems or quest counters as a backup. Key roles: - Token multiplication: Every token-creation event gets amplified. Chatterfang adds Squirrels, other replacement effects add Food or Clue, Food and Treasure, and copy effects double whole boards, so any single token maker snowballs. (Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, Second Harvest) - Token generators and Food loops: Repeatable sources of Squirrels, Food and Treasure feed the multipliers. Food sacrifices spawn further tokens and fuel recursion and forage costs. (Chitterspitter, Hazel of the Rootbloom, Experimental Confectioner) - Sacrifice outlets: Free or cheap ways to sacrifice tokens and creatures, including Chatterfang's own ability, turn the board into Treasure, cards or removal at will. (Warren Soultrader, Ravenous Squirrel, Plumb the Forbidden) - Aristocrat drain payoffs: Death triggers and token-leave or token-create triggers make each opponent lose life. With dozens of tokens, a single sacrifice chain becomes lethal. (Zulaport Cutthroat, Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade) - Death-fueled value: Creatures dying or tokens appearing draw cards and generate mana, so the engine refuels itself while the drain happens. (Skullclamp, Pitiless Plunderer, Moldervine Reclamation) - Squirrel tribal beatdown: Lords, anthems and evasion turn the token army into a combat threat that draws cards on damage and drains on attack. (The Odd Acorn Gang, Valley Rotcaller, Beastmaster Ascension)
