Korvold, Fae-Cursed King
Korvold, Fae-Cursed King Commander Deck
Korvold, Fae-Cursed King anchors an aristocrats-and-Treasure deck: every permanent sacrificed (Treasures, fetchlands, fodder creatures, Clues, Food) grows Korvold with a +1/+1 counter and draws a card. That turns ordinary mana and land-fetching into a card-advantage engine. Token makers and Treasure doublers keep the sacrifice fuel flowing, free sac outlets turn it into mana or damage, and death-trigger drainers punish opponents for every piece of fodder spent. How it wins: Mostly by draining opponents through stacked sacrifice and death triggers while a huge flying Korvold attacks, with Revel in Riches as an alternate kill by reaching ten Treasures. Key roles: - Treasure and token fuel: These cards produce Treasures, Spawn and other tokens, and multiply them, so every mana-making action also feeds Korvold's sacrifice trigger. (Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Xorn, Academy Manufactor) - Free sacrifice outlets: Cost-free outlets turn creatures into mana, damage or card selection at instant speed. They make each Korvold trigger available on demand and fuel big turns. (Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Goblin Bombardment) - Death and sacrifice payoffs: Drainers and pingers turn each sacrifice into lost life or damage for opponents, and supply the main damage engine alongside Korvold's beats. (Mayhem Devil, Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist) - Land sacrifice package: Fetchlands, sacrifice-a-land ramp and land-cycling creatures count as sacrificed permanents. Thinning the deck and ramping also draws cards and grows Korvold, with landfall adding more Treasure. (Harrow, Springbloom Druid, Tireless Provisioner) - Recursive and counter-sharing fodder: Creatures that return or leave value behind can be sacrificed again and again. Counter doublers and counter spreaders make Korvold and the board snowball. (Reassembling Skeleton, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, Doubling Season) - Revel in Riches alternate win: Treasure engines that flood the board, through land taps, combat damage or end-step creature deaths, reach the ten-Treasure upkeep win. (Revel in Riches, Bootleggers' Stash, Old Gnawbone)
