This deck builds a life gain engine around an Angel tribal core, using Gisela, the Broken Blade as an aggressive flying threat while working toward melding her with Bruna, the Fading Light into the massive Brisela, Voice of Nightmares, which locks opponents out of casting most spells. Life gain triggers generate value through card draw, token creation, and stacking +1/+1 counters on the growing Angel army, which is kept cheap through multiple cost-reduction effects. The deck wins through overwhelming combat with an ever-growing board of indestructible, buffed fliers, with The Book of Exalted Deeds available as an alternative win condition by granting an Angel the ability to make it impossible for opponents to win the game.
