Blood Rites
Clavileño, First of the Blessed Commander Precon
Orzhov Vampire tribal that attacks every turn so Clavileño can turn an attacking Vampire into a Demon. When that Vampire dies, its controller draws a card and gets a tapped 4/3 flying Vampire Demon. An aristocrats layer of sac outlets and death triggers turns those deaths, in combat or by sacrifice, into card draw, drain, +1/+1 counters and bigger bodies. Wide token production, lords and lifegain round out a go-wide, grind-heavy Vampire swarm. How it wins: It swarms opponents with anthem-boosted and counter-laden Vampires and flying Demon tokens, while attack triggers and death-trigger drains like Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant chip away the last life points. Key roles: - Attack-trigger engine: These cards reward swinging with Vampires every turn, much like Clavileño. They make lifelink tokens, Blood tokens and drains on each attack, so even small attacks build value (Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle, Sanctum Seeker, Glass-Cast Heart). - Sacrifice outlets: Free or cheap ways to sacrifice creatures, especially a Demon marked by Clavileño after combat or in response to removal. They cash it in for a card and a 4/3 flyer, plus mana, counters or cards (Viscera Seer, Indulgent Aristocrat, Promise of Aclazotz). - Death payoffs: Every creature death drains opponents, draws cards, grows the team or forces opposing sacrifices, which makes each chump attack or sacrifice profitable (Blood Artist, Cordial Vampire, Butcher of Malakir). - Token swarm and recursion: Lifelink Vampire tokens from enchantments, dying creatures and recursive threats keep the board wide and refill sacrifice fodder. Graveyard returns bring key pieces back (March of the Canonized, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher). - Tribal anthems and scaling: Lords, counters and exalted turn the wide board of small Vampires into a lethal force. Lifegain grows some threats further (Legion Lieutenant, Etchings of the Chosen, Elenda's Hierophant). - Tribal card advantage: Draw scales with Vampire count, and creature deaths or small creatures entering refill the hand to keep the swarm going (Champion of Dusk, Crossway Troublemakers, Welcoming Vampire).
