Daretti, Scrap Savant Commander Precon
This mono-red artifact recursion deck loops artifacts between the battlefield and the graveyard. Daretti's +2 discards expensive artifact bombs while digging, and its −2 trades a cheap artifact for a big one from the graveyard. Goblin Welder, Scrap Mastery and graveyard-to-hand effects keep the cycle running, while artifacts with death and leave-play triggers turn every sacrifice into value. How it wins: It cheats or recurs huge artifact threats like Wurmcoil Engine, Myr Battlesphere, Steel Hellkite and Bosh, Iron Golem into play early, then grinds opponents out through sweepers and spot removal with an army of recursive bodies. Key roles: - Discard to fuel the graveyard: Looting and cycling effects, including Daretti's +2, put big artifacts into the graveyard so they can be reanimated cheaply instead of hard-cast (Faithless Looting, Jalum Tome, Daretti, Scrap Savant). - Artifact swapping and reanimation: Effects that sacrifice an artifact on the battlefield and return one from the graveyard. These turn a trinket into a fatty, often at instant speed or en masse (Goblin Welder, Scrap Mastery, Daretti, Scrap Savant). - Sacrifice fodder with death value: Cheap artifacts that draw, ramp, fetch lands, or rebuy other artifacts when they die. Feeding them to swaps and sac outlets generates card advantage instead of loss (Ichor Wellspring, Myr Retriever, Solemn Simulacrum). - Sacrifice outlets and engines: Repeatable ways to cash in artifacts for cards, damage, recursion, or life. These double as ways to trigger death effects on demand (Trading Post, Bosh, Iron Golem, Phyrexia's Core). - Resilient artifact threats: Large finishers that leave tokens, return to hand, or stay sticky when killed. This makes board wipes and removal favor the deck (Wurmcoil Engine, Myr Battlesphere, Spine of Ish Sah). - Sweepers and burn control: Damage-based wipes and creature-killing ETB or leave-play effects. Many of them spare flyers, artifacts, or the planeswalker commander, so they clear the way while recursive threats rebuild (Blasphemous Act, Whipflare, Spitebellows).
