Draconic Destruction

Atarka, World Render Commander Precon

Starter Commander Decks100 cards

Atarka, World Render leads a Dragon tribal deck that ramps and cheats on costs to land a fleet of big flyers, then turns each attack into a double-strike swing. Atarka's trigger grants double strike to any attacking Dragon you control, not just itself, so every Dragon is effectively doubled in damage. That pushes combat-damage triggers twice, compounds pump effects, and makes attack triggers far more lethal alongside the flying-trample bodies. Enter-the-battlefield damage from Dragons, card draw off big creatures, and sweepers that spare or outlast the deck's large flyers keep the board favorable until the air force connects. How it wins: It assembles several hasty, pumped flying Dragons and attacks with Atarka on board, so double strike, trample, and attack or damage triggers deal lethal commander and general damage across the table. Key roles: - Dragon ramp and cost reduction: Treasure, rocks, land ramp and Dragon-specific discounts speed out the expensive Dragons and Atarka, while attack-generated mana funds post-combat plays. (Dragonspeaker Shaman, Savage Ventmaw, Dragonlord's Servant) - Double-strike force multipliers: Static anthems, power doubling, pump abilities and granted trample all count twice under Atarka's double strike, turning ordinary Dragons into one-shot threats. (Crucible of Fire, Unleash Fury, Garruk's Uprising) - Haste enablers: Haste lets freshly cast Dragons attack immediately and pick up Atarka's double strike the turn they land, sidestepping sorcery-speed answers. (Fires of Yavimaya, Dragon Tempest, Thundermaw Hellkite) - Dragon-entry burn: Triggers that deal damage scaling with Dragon count whenever a Dragon enters clear blockers and chip at opponents, and some recur removal along the way. (Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, Spit Flame) - Combat-damage payoffs: Triggers on dealing combat damage or attacking fire twice or scale with doubled damage, refilling hands, casting free spells, or wiping permanents. (Dream Pillager, Steel Hellkite, Hunter's Insight) - Flyer-friendly board control: Sweepers that hit only ground creatures or that big Dragons survive, plus fight effects, clear the way while the deck's own flyers stay intact. (Magmaquake, Harbinger of the Hunt, Frontier Siege)
