Sefris of the Hidden Ways Commander Precon

Forgotten Realms Commander100 cards

This is an Esper value deck that fills its graveyard with creatures to venture through dungeons with Sefris of the Hidden Ways, then reanimates its best threats. Looting, discard outlets, evoke and sacrifice creatures put a creature card into the graveyard every turn, including opponents' turns, to fire the once-per-turn venture. Extra venture sources speed up dungeon completion, and each completion brings back a creature. Reanimation spells and enter-the-battlefield creatures turn every recursion into card draw, removal or more reanimation. How it wins: It grinds opponents out by repeatedly reanimating and blinking value creatures like Ashen Rider, Sun Titan and Sunblast Angel, then closes with evasive fliers, unblockable attackers and drain effects. Key roles: - Graveyard filling: Loot, discard and self-sacrifice effects put creature cards into the graveyard on as many different turns as possible, triggering Sefris each turn and stocking reanimation targets (Merfolk Looter, Champion of Wits, Obsessive Stitcher). - Extra venture engine: Additional venture sources and doubled room abilities race through dungeons beyond Sefris's once-per-turn cap, so completions and their free reanimations come more often (Radiant Solar, Hama Pashar, Ruin Seeker, Dungeon Map). - Reanimation chain: Spells and creatures return creatures from the graveyard to the battlefield, often looping into each other for compounding value (Karmic Guide, Victimize, Unburial Rites). - ETB value payloads: Creatures with strong enter or death triggers are the preferred things to recur, delivering draw, removal and board control each time they return (Ashen Rider, Sun Titan, Mulldrifter). - Board resets with upside: Sweepers and symmetrical sacrifice effects clear the table while feeding the graveyard and Sefris, letting the deck rebuild faster than opponents (Necromantic Selection, Sunblast Angel, Plaguecrafter). - Combat closers: Evasion, unblockability and life drain turn the recurring board into damage, with combat damage also adding ventures (Midnight Pathlighter, Nihiloor, Wand of Orcus).
