Graveyard Overdrive
Disa the Restless Commander Precon
Disa the Restless runs a graveyard-fueled Lhurgoyf aggro deck. It fills all graveyards with as many card types as possible through mill, self-discard, cycling lands, fetch-style lands and sacrifice outlets, which pumps a squad of Lhurgoyf creatures. Disa turns any Lhurgoyf card milled or discarded into a free creature on the battlefield, and turns every combat hit into another Tarmogoyf token. With Maskwood Nexus or changelings making every creature card count as a Lhurgoyf, the milling also cheats out big threats, while Pyrogoyf turns each arriving Lhurgoyf into direct damage. How it wins: It attacks with oversized Lhurgoyfs, dragons and a growing stream of Tarmogoyf tokens, given trample and haste by its graveyard enablers, while enter-the-battlefield burn, Syr Konrad drain and sacrifice damage finish off opponents. Key roles: - Graveyard filling and discard: Milling and looting both grow every Lhurgoyf's power and let Disa put Lhurgoyf cards straight onto the battlefield instead of having to cast them. (Stitcher's Supplier, Deadbridge Chant, Faithless Looting) - Lhurgoyf army and token engine: Lhurgoyfs scale with card types or creature cards in graveyards. Combat damage under Disa, the Nest and Polygoyf's myriad keep producing more bodies. (Pyrogoyf, Polygoyf, Tarmogoyf Nest) - Universal Lhurgoyf typing: Making every creature card a Lhurgoyf means Disa reanimates any milled or discarded creature, and Pyrogoyf deals damage whenever anything enters. (Maskwood Nexus, Graveshifter, Necrogoyf) - Evasion and attack enablers: Graveyard Incarnations and equipment give the team haste and trample, and a lone attacker gets big pumps to land Disa's combat trigger. (Brawn, Anger, Altar of the Goyf) - Recursion and graveyard value: Creatures return to hand or battlefield, and cards are cast from graveyards to grind out card advantage. (Liliana, Death's Majesty, Coram, the Undertaker, Eternal Witness) - Death and damage payoffs: Creatures dying or hitting the graveyard drain opponents, sacrifices fling power at targets, and damage doubling or board-wide blasts end games. (Syr Konrad, the Grim, Ziatora, the Incinerator, Chandra's Ignition)
