Lorehold Spirit
Quintorius, History Chaser Commander Precon
Quintorius, History Chaser leads a Boros graveyard-churn deck. It fills the yard with looting, discard and milling, then pulls cards back out through reanimation, recasting and exile effects. Every time cards leave the graveyard, the commander, Quintorius, Field Historian and similar triggers make 3/2 Spirit tokens, pump creatures or ping opponents, so recursion doubles as an army-building engine. How it wins: It floods the board with Spirit tokens and recurring creatures, then turns them lethal with Spirit anthems, mass pumps and the commander's −4 double strike, with graveyard-leave damage pings adding reach. Key roles: - Graveyard-leave payoffs: These are the core engine. Each time cards exit the graveyard they create Spirits, grow creatures, make Treasure, draw cards or deal damage to each opponent, alongside Quintorius, History Chaser's own token trigger (Quintorius, Field Historian, Advanced Reconstruction, Spirit of Resilience). - Self-mill and discard fuel: Looting, wheels, rummaging and mill effects stock the graveyard, and the commander's +1 does the same. Several of these exile discarded cards to play them, which counts as cards leaving the yard (Faithless Looting, Conspiracy Theorist, Perpetual Timepiece). - Repeatable reanimation: Attack and enter triggers return cheap permanents to the battlefield again and again, gaining value while firing leave-graveyard triggers every turn (Sun Titan, Excava, the Risen Past, Serra Paragon). - Graveyard exile tools: Effects that exile or copy cards straight from the graveyard turn the yard itself into a token source (Augusta, Order Returned, Lorehold Archivist, Remorseful Cleric). - Spirit tribal army: Many creatures are Spirits, and lords give them stats, trample, haste and recursion, so the commander's tokens hit much harder (Hofri Ghostforge, Vanguard of the Restless, Balefire Liege). - Board wipes and finishers: Sweepers reset the table while the deck rebuilds from its graveyard or gets Spirits back from dead creatures. Mass pumps then close the game (Ceaseless Conflict, Tragic Arrogance, Moonshaker Cavalry).
