Riku of Two Reflections Commander Precon

Commander 2011100 cards

Riku of Two Reflections leads a big-mana Temur ramp deck. It accelerates hard with land-fetching sorceries, signets and mana creatures, then lands a top-heavy curve of six-plus-mana creatures. Riku doubles their enter-the-battlefield value with token copies, and also copies the ramp, removal and burn spells. Many of the fatties have enters or leaves triggers (bounce, land search, recursion, fight-like damage), so a Riku copy turns each one into a two-for-one. Cycling and evoke creatures keep the expensive curve flexible early. How it wins: It overwhelms the table with doubled giant creatures like Hydra Omnivore, Artisan of Kozilek, Magmatic Force and Simic Sky Swallower, pushing combat damage through with trample, flying, pump spells and Garruk's overrun. Key roles: - Ramp spells worth copying: Land-search sorceries that Riku can copy for double acceleration, plus symmetrical group ramp that the deck exploits better than anyone because of its expensive curve (Explosive Vegetation, Collective Voyage, Veteran Explorer). - Fatty tutoring and cycling: Expensive creatures carry landcycling or cycling, so they double as land fixing early, while a tutor fetches the best six-drop for Riku to copy (Fierce Empath, Krosan Tusker, Valley Rannet). - Doubled ETB value: Big creatures whose arrival or departure triggers removal, recursion or land exiling get duplicated by Riku's token copies, and evoke creatures can be cast cheaply while Riku still makes a lasting token (Spitebellows, Aethersnipe, Deadwood Treefolk). - Recursion engine: Creatures and spells that return used cards from the graveyard let Riku re-buy and re-copy key threats and sorceries (Nucklavee, Vengeful Rebirth, Artisan of Kozilek). - Copyable interaction: Burn, sweepers and steal effects become two-for-ones or bigger with Riku's spell copying, clearing the way for the fatties (Prophetic Bolt, Savage Twister, Ray of Command). - Political Vows and combat finishers: Auras that pump creatures while stopping them from attacking the deck, including on opponents' creatures, alongside pump and overrun effects that close games (Vow of Wildness, Garruk Wildspeaker, Colossal Might).
