Planar Portal
Prosper, Tome-Bound Commander Precon
Prosper, Tome-Bound runs an exile-matters value engine. Every end step it exiles a card to play, and each card played from exile, whether impulse draws, cascade hits, stolen opponent cards or rebound spells, makes a Treasure. That Treasure fuels more plays, so the deck snowballs card advantage and mana while chaotic effects like goad, cascade and stealing opponents' spells and creatures grind the table down. How it wins: It buries opponents in card and mana advantage, then closes with large or evasive threats, mass life drain from extort, Marionette Master and Warlock Class, and redirecting goaded attackers into other players. Key roles: - Impulse draw from own library: Spells and creatures that exile cards off the top to play later, each one triggering Prosper's Treasure and stacking card advantage over a turn cycle (Light Up the Stage, Commune with Lava, Ignite the Future) - Playing opponents' cards: Effects that steal spells, creatures and library cards from opponents, all of which count as playing from exile and add Treasures while turning their resources against them (Gonti, Lord of Luxury, Fevered Suspicion, Hurl Through Hell) - Cascade and free-cast chains: Cascade and free-cast effects that turn single spells into multiple exile plays, amplified when the first exile cast each turn gains cascade (Wild-Magic Sorcerer, Etali, Primal Storm, Throes of Chaos) - Treasure and artifact drain: Treasures from Prosper and other sources become both mana and ammunition, since sacrificing artifacts drains opponents and per-spell taxes convert mana into life loss (Marionette Master, Pontiff of Blight, Grim Hireling) - Goad and politics: Forcing opponents' creatures to attack each other, which keeps pressure off this deck while rewarding it with cards and Treasures when opponents fight (Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, Disrupt Decorum, Shiny Impetus) - Rats and sacrifice fodder: A small token subtheme provides bodies to sacrifice for exile draws, cards and removal, with deathtouch Rats and death triggers adding pressure (Piper of the Swarm, Ogre Slumlord, Dark-Dweller Oracle)
