This deck is a Simic X-spell deck built around Zimone, Infinite Analyst. The first X spell each turn grows Zimone by two +1/+1 counters, and each counter makes the next first X spell cheaper, so Zimone keeps ramping into bigger and bigger X values. A wide suite of "first X spell each turn" payoffs, X-boosting effects and +1/+1 counter doublers turns each cheap X spell into a huge hydra, fractal token or card-draw burst. How it wins: It wins with oversized counter-laden creatures, mostly hydras and Fractal tokens given trample, evasion or matching base stats, and finishes through combat backed by proliferate and counter doubling. Key roles: - First X spell payoffs: These cards stack extra value onto the same once-per-turn X cast that grows Zimone, producing tokens, copies or counters every turn. (Owlin Spiralmancer, Lattice Library, Nev, the Practical Dean) - X amplifiers and dedicated mana: These cards double X or copy the spell, and add mana that only X costs can use, so Zimone's discount turns into enormous X values. (Unbound Flourishing, Elementalist's Palette, Troyan, Gutsy Explorer) - X-sized threats: These are hydras and other creatures whose size scales with X, and several of them replace themselves with cards, Treasure or tokens when they die. (Primordial Hydra, Hydroid Krasis, Primo, the Unbounded) - Counter multiplication: Doublers, proliferate and counter-adding replacement effects inflate every counter placed on Zimone, the hydras and the Fractals. (Hardened Scales, Expansion Algorithm, Benevolent Hydra) - Fractal token army: Several cards create 0/0 Fractals sized by spell values, study counters or combat damage, building a growing board of big bodies. (Deekah, Fractal Theorist, Fractal Harness, Lattice Library) - Finishers and counter cash-in: These cards convert counters into a win or into cards: matching base stats across the team, granting evasion and trample, or removing counters to draw. (Tanazir Quandrix, Biomass Mutation, Nexus Mentality)
