Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait is the engine of this deck, rewarding each land entering the battlefield with a card draw while also granting an additional land play each turn, creating a self-sustaining loop of lands fueling more cards fueling more lands. The deck accelerates this engine through extensive land ramp and spells that put extra lands into play, triggering landfall payoffs like massive creature token generation from Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths, as well as growing a board of large threats such as Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer. The deck closes out games by overwhelming opponents with a wide or tall creature board, backed by permission spells, bounce effects, and mass-bounce finishers that clear the way for combat.
