Scrappy Survivors
Dogmeat, Ever Loyal Commander Precon
This is a Naya Voltron and go-wide deck built on Auras and Equipment. Dogmeat refills a lost Aura or Equipment off its mill, and makes a Junk token every time any enchanted or equipped creature attacks. Those Junk tokens give card advantage, fuel artifact counts and get sacrificed for Junk Jet. Cheap modifiers, attachment tricks and Aura/Equipment recursion keep several decked-out attackers swinging every turn while the Junk value keeps the hand full. How it wins: It suits up one or more creatures with stacking pump, evasion and double strike, then closes with lethal combat damage, often through extra combats, menace or unblockability. Key roles: - Attack-trigger value engine: Dogmeat rewards each modified attacker with a Junk token, backed by other Junk makers and attack-triggered loot, counters and tokens. Every swing generates resources. (Veronica, Dissident Scribe, Mister Gutsy, Pip-Boy 3000) - Voltron payoffs and scaling: These Auras and Equipment grow based on how many attachments or permanents are in play, and add evasion or double strike to turn one creature into a lethal threat. (Strong Back, Mantle of the Ancients, Fireshrieker) - Cheap attaching and cost cheating: Equip-cost reducers, free attach effects and mana restricted to Auras and Equipment make it efficient to suit up and shift gear between bodies. (Puresteel Paladin, Codsworth, Handy Helper, Inventory Management) - Aura and Equipment recursion: Dogmeat's mill-and-return, plus graveyard reanimation of attachments and re-attaching after a creature dies, makes removal and wraths cheap to recover from. (Cass, Hand of Vengeance, Vault 101: Birthday Party, Brotherhood Outcast) - Combat multipliers and spreading: Extra combats with untaps, Aura copies spread to every attacker, and doubled power multiply both damage and Junk triggers. (Grim Reaper's Sprint, Three Dog, Galaxy News DJ, Junk Jet) - Land-Aura ramp and board resets: Land Auras ramp while counting as attachments for Preston Garvey's untaps. One-sided sweepers like Single Combat and Blasphemous Act clear the way for a single protected, indestructible champion. (Preston Garvey, Minuteman, Wild Growth, Almost Perfect)
