Sneak Attack
Anowon, the Ruin Thief Commander Precon
Anowon pumps a wide team of Rogues, many of them evasive or unblockable, and turns each point of combat damage into a milled card for that player, drawing a card whenever a creature gets milled. Extra mill from attack triggers and Consuming Aberration-style effects fills opponents' graveyards. That pile feeds graveyard-scaling threats, threshold bonuses, and a reanimation suite that steals the best creatures out of opponents' graveyards. How it wins: Chip in with pumped unblockable and flying Rogues while milling, then close with oversized graveyard-scaled threats, reanimated stolen bombs, life-halving equipment, or extra combat turns. Key roles: - Evasive Rogue beaters: Cheap unblockable, flying and hexproof Rogues get +1/+1 from Anowon and connect every turn, turning his damage-to-mill trigger and card draw on reliably (Slither Blade, Invisible Stalker, Soaring Thought-Thief). - Prowl and Rogue payoffs: Landing combat damage with a Rogue unlocks cheap prowl casts, card draw, discard and pump for unblocked attackers, up to an extra turn (Notorious Throng, Stinkdrinker Bandit, Oona's Blackguard). - Opponent mill: Attack triggers and spell-cast mill pile up cards in opponents' graveyards, switching on the eight-card thresholds and growing the graveyard-count creatures (Consuming Aberration, Soaring Thought-Thief, Syr Konrad, the Grim). - Graveyard-scaling threats: Creatures and equipment grow with the number of creature cards in graveyards or opponents' graveyards, punishing the mill plan's results (Nighthowler, Bonehoard, Consuming Aberration). - Theft and reanimation: Milled enemy creatures get pulled onto the battlefield, cast from graveyards, or copied, turning opponents' decks into this deck's threats (Sepulchral Primordial, Whispersteel Dagger, Lazav, Dimir Mastermind). - Combat-damage card advantage: Connecting attackers draw cards and refuel the aggressive curve, backed by evasion enablers that make any creature unblockable (Sure-Footed Infiltrator, Open into Wonder, Military Intelligence).
