Subjective Reality
Aminatou, the Fateshifter Commander Precon
Aminatou's +1 sets the top of the library every turn. The deck builds around that with miracle spells, scry and stacking effects, and cards that reveal or cast off the top. The aim is to drop a free board wipe, an Angel army or a mass reanimation for a fraction of its cost. Her −1 re-buys enters-the-battlefield value from flyers and utility creatures. A sideline of big flying Sphinxes, ninjas and cascade/free-cast creatures turns the controlled top deck into card advantage and pressure. How it wins: By miracle-casting Entreat the Angels or Army of the Damned into a wide board, or swinging with large evasive flyers and ninjas, after resetting opponents with cheap miracle wipes. Key roles: - Topdeck setup: Aminatou's +1 and a suite of put-back and ordering effects place a chosen card on top so it is the first card drawn next turn, which is key for miracles. (Brainstorm, Dream Cache, Telling Time) - Miracle payoffs: Cheap miracle versions of board wipes, removal, token armies and reanimation turn the stacked top card into huge swings. (Entreat the Angels, Terminus, Devastation Tide) - Top-of-library value engines: Creatures and spells that reveal, cast or manifest the top card reward knowing what is there, including free casts and repeated card flow. (Djinn of Wishes, Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, Primordial Mist) - Blink and recursion: Aminatou's −1 and reanimation effects reuse enters-the-battlefield triggers and bring back fallen fatties, and some creatures shuffle or tuck themselves back into the library to be found again. (Mulldrifter, Phyrexian Delver, Enigma Sphinx) - Evasive pressure and ninjas: Flyers and unblockable bodies chip in damage and set up ninjutsu, which draws cards and adds life loss off the top of the library. (Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, Ninja of the Deep Hours, Silent-Blade Oni) - Control and resets: Spot removal, mass wipes and symmetric effects keep threats in check while the deck's own engines rebuild. (Akroma's Vengeance, Utter End, Magus of the Balance)
