Token Triumph
Emmara, Soul of the Accord Commander Precon
Emmara go-wide tokens: the deck repeatedly taps Emmara to create lifelink Soldiers, then floods the board with Saprolings, Insects, Cats and Soldiers from token makers and landfall. Emmara triggers on any tapping, not just attacking, so convoke spells, tap-a-creature mana abilities, creatures-as-mana effects and untap tricks all turn her into a repeatable token engine. The wide board then fuels card draw and is pumped by anthems and lieutenants into a lethal alpha strike. How it wins: It builds a huge army of small tokens, stacks global anthems or a one-shot mass pump like Overrun, and swings with everything, often with trample or unblockability, to overwhelm opponents in one combat. Key roles: - Tap outlets for Emmara: convoke spells, creatures that tap other creatures for mana or effects, and lands that tap creatures let Emmara become tapped outside combat, making Soldiers at instant speed or several times a turn with untap effects (Selesnya Evangel, Holdout Settlement, March of the Multitudes) - Creature mana and untaps: granting mana abilities to the whole team turns every token into ramp and another way to tap Emmara, while untap effects reset everything for a second round (Citanul Hierophants, Curse of Bounty, Great Oak Guardian) - Token production and landfall: repeatable token makers and landfall payoffs widen the board every turn, with land fetching doubling as token generation (Hornet Queen, Maja, Bretagard Protector, Felidar Retreat) - Go-wide card draw: creature count and token creation become card advantage, refilling the hand to keep deploying threats (Mentor of the Meek, Camaraderie, Idol of Oblivion) - Anthems and lieutenants: static and one-shot pumps, several keyed to controlling the commander, turn 1/1s into real attackers and finishers (Thunderfoot Baloth, Collective Blessing, Overrun) - Asymmetric wraths and protection: board wipes that spare tokens or small creatures, plus team indestructibility, keep the army intact while the opposition is cleared (Hour of Reckoning, Citywide Bust, Rootborn Defenses)
