Tyranid Swarm
The Swarmlord Commander Precon
The deck is a Tyranid tribal +1/+1 counters list built on Ravenous X creatures. Heavy land ramp and X-mana support scale those creatures into large threats that also draw cards, deal damage or fetch lands. The Swarmlord turns any counter-bearing creature's death into a card, so trades, board wipes and sacrifices refill the hand. Counter multipliers, anthem effects and evasion granters then turn the counter-laden board into a lethal attack. How it wins: It builds a wide board of counter-stacked Tyranids, gives them flying, haste, trample or double strike through the hive-mind lords, and swings for lethal combat damage, with burn from X spells and Screamer-Killer finishing off opponents. Key roles: - X-spell ramp: Land ramp, extra mana sources and X-only mana let the Ravenous creatures cast for X of 5 or more, so they draw a card on entry. One Ravenous creature, Sporocyst, ramps further itself. (Nexos, Magus Lucea Kane, Sporocyst) - Ravenous scaling threats: X-cost Tyranids enter as big creatures with built-in effects such as burn, fight removal, counter distribution, land fetching and death tokens, all scaling with the mana spent. (Broodlord, Zoanthrope, Mawloc) - Counter amplification: These cards add extra counters, double them, spread them each combat, or make every counter worth double stats, turning modest boards into huge ones. (Hardened Scales, Clamavus, The First Tyrannic War) - Death-to-value engine: The Swarmlord draws whenever a countered creature dies. Death triggers add counters, mana and tokens, and wipes like Exocrine or Starstorm can sweep enemies while the deck refuels from its own losses. (The Swarmlord, Death's Presence, Termagant Swarm) - Hive lords and evasion: Tribal lords hand the counter-bearing army flying, haste, trample or double strike, while combat triggers make tokens, cards and unblockable attackers. (Winged Hive Tyrant, Old One Eye, Deathleaper, Terror Weapon) - Board protection: These cards shield the counter-loaded creatures from removal and wipes, and Inspiring Call also draws cards. (Tyrant Guard, Inspiring Call, Aetherize)
