Urza's Iron Alliance
Urza, Chief Artificer Commander Precon
Urza builds a wide board of artifact creatures. Every end step he makes a Construct token that grows with the artifact count, and he gives all artifact creatures menace so they are hard to block. The deck packs artifact lands, mana rocks and token makers to push the artifact count up. That count then feeds scaling threats, anthems and Construct tokens. Combat damage from the artifact army draws cards and makes more Thopters, and protection and cost reduction keep the engine running. How it wins: A wide army of growing, menace-wielding artifact creatures and fliers attacks through blockers, finished off by big artifact-count threats like Myr Battlesphere, Cranial Plating and Darksteel Juggernaut. Key roles: - Artifact count and token generation: Artifact lands, rocks, and cast-trigger or upkeep token makers flood the board with artifact creatures. These add to Urza's end-step Constructs and pump every count-based card. (Sai, Master Thopterist, Digsite Engineer, Thopter Spy Network) - Scaling threats and anthems: Creatures and equipment whose power equals the artifact count, plus global buffs for artifact creatures, turn a pile of small tokens into lethal menace attackers. (Master of Etherium, Tempered Steel, Cranial Plating) - Combat-damage card flow: Triggers on artifact creatures connecting or entering refill the hand and make more fliers. Menace from Urza helps these triggers land. (Bident of Thassa, Sharding Sphinx, Losheel, Clockwork Scholar) - Sacrifice and death value: Expendable tokens become cards and life loss through equipment and death triggers. This makes sweepers and trades favorable. (Skullclamp, Marionette Master, Thopter Shop) - Copying and recursion: Token copies and graveyard returns rebuild or multiply key artifact creatures after removal or a self-cast wipe. (March of Progress, Tawnos, Solemn Survivor, Wire Surgeons) - Board protection and resets: Metalcraft and ward effects shield the artifact board. One-sided-leaning sweepers clear opposing boards while legendary pieces like Urza survive. (Indomitable Archangel, Bronze Guardian, Urza's Ruinous Blast)
